Building Waves of Support for Men’s and Women’s Mental Health
The New Wave Forward in Holistic Health Support

Who We Are

Capillary Wave Community

Capillary Wave Community is a grassroots movement creating powerful ripples in the world of mental health—for men and women. Born from the belief that healing happens through connection, we are a growing community where people come as they are and leave a little lighter, stronger, and more seen.

We offer weekly in-person support groups rooted in our core belief: true health is holistic—emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. Whether you’re navigating trauma, loss, stress, or just feeling overwhelmed by life, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space here.

In addition to our groups, members can access our Pit Stop Crew—a collective of trusted holistic health professionals and practical service providers. This includes trauma-informed coaching, somatic therapy, energy healing, mindfulness training, employment support, life-skills workshops, family law guidance, and more. Together, we’re not just supporting each other—we’re rebuilding lives from the inside out.

This is The New Wave Forward—a movement where we rise together by taking ownership of our well-being, leaning into community, and embracing the full spectrum of what it means to be healthy.

Our Purpose

To provide men and women with the support, resources and services they need to become healthier in mind, body and spirit.

In Memory of...

Because no one should have to face darkness alone.

To those who are no longer with us—your stories, your struggles, and your strength will never be forgotten. This space is a tribute to the individuals who battled silently, inspiring us to reach out, listen, and extend a hand before it’s too late.

Nadine Perry

Nadine is a Community Outreach and Development Worker and trauma informed counselor who believes strongly in the power of community and front line experience. She has worked in social work for over twenty years and has been a Death Doula, and Postpartum Doula for over 12 years, with a focus for creating awareness and compassionate connectedness with her clients.

She is also a lifelong advocate for basic human rights, and mental health awareness. She sees and feels the need for community and understanding.

Nadine is a teacher, mentor, student and truth teller. Having been through quite a few challenges in life, Nadine has learned to persevere and has become very resilient. That now drives her passion to teach others resilience, and that life is a journey and not a destination.

She has a special gift of being able to meet people where they are at and is able to address the issues that affect those that she works with because of her authentic human to human approach.

After spending over a decade working in communities, Nadine knows what truly drives change: building rapport and trust with those you work with, having the hard conversations with them, and keeping them accountable to their own goals and dreams. Nadine often has said that it’s all in how well you connect with the heart-beat of the people you’re trying to help.

Nadine is currently taking her knowledge and support into working with those who want to help break down their own barriers and emotional blockages; as well provide the very real emotional support that people need to continue to work on themselves.

Kristyn Livermore

Hi! I’m Kristyn Livermore, the Director of Westend Hypnosis. You might be where I was when I first started Hypnosis, overwhelmed and completely stressed out. Over-thinking every decision and often hoping that food would make me feel better.I felt totally trapped and everything I tried made things worse … nothing was working. Hypnosis teaches you how to utilize your unconscious mind to chase your goals and gravitate easily towards the actions that achieve them. Like the thousands of people who’ve used hypnosis to change their lives, it also helped me move my body during an emotional state instead of food, how to feel confidence (not just pretend to), how to find a pause before reacting and honestly, so much more. I personally lost 40 lbs and actually liked who I was. After training with Hypnosis Training Canada, joining an international community of hypnotist called the Master Hypnotist Society, working at Burlington Hypnosis Centre – I built Westend Hypnosis. Learn how hypnosis can make the difference that makes the difference for YOU! Book your FREE screening to see if this is the change you’ve been looking for. It’s free, so there’s really nothing to lose. And if I don’t think this is a good fit for you, I’ll be honest and tell you up front. Don’t let another precious moment pass you by. There is so much life left to live.”

Andrew Dreosto

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO and clinical co-director here at Aspect Psychotherapy.
I make a daily effort to be transparent and prioritize balancing showing up for my clients authentically to manifest a positive trusting psychotherapy relationship.
Psychotherapy involves growth, reflection, and facing discomfort. We will examine challenging yourself honestly, vulnerably, and respectfully, as the primary method for developing a greater relationship with yourself and your potential.
I ensure to take a genuine approach with every client’s needs, honouring the different parts that may show up, and examining how to support you living more in alignment with your core values and needs.
I ensure to take a genuine approach with every client’s needs, honouring the different parts that may show up, and examining how to support you living more in alignment with your core values and needs.
My psychotherapy training and experience specializes in emotional and cognitive focused psychotherapy, ADHD or neurodivergence support, defining committed behaviour change towards needs and values, trauma-informed care, dating or relationship focused, addictive behaviours, mind-body connections and combining spiritually integrative methods. I really emphasize attachment styles and narrative psychotherapy treatments as well.
What you can expect from me is enthusiasm, kindness, and a practical strong desire to compassionately challenge you to achieve what you need in your psychotherapy journey!

Life can throw challenges that leave even the strongest men questioning themselves. If you’re feeling the weight of stress, emotional strain, or relationship struggles, you’re not alone and you don’t have to handle it on your own. I offer a space where you can be real, without judgment or pressure. Together, we’ll work to get to what’s beneath the surface, build emotional strength and self-awareness, and help you move forward with clarity, honesty, and purpose.

Warmly,
JJ

Dr. Nathan Cooper

Dr. Cooper and his associates, Joel Schramm, Audrey Gutierrez, and Aaron Van Beilen, offer care for individuals and couples dealing with concerns that are getting in the way of fully functioning both personally and socially. Common concerns include: anxiety, depression, substance use, procrastination, trauma, self-esteem, relationship conflict, career indecision, and many others. Counselling staff are familiar with providing support to individuals in managing ADHD including associated issues of organization and behavioural addiction.
Dr. Cooper and the counselling team approach to providing care is individually defined and informed by the interest and direction of each individual. Care provision is informed by proven therapies which include but are not limited to cognitive behavioural interventions and positive psychology.
Dr. Cooper and the counselling team are very interested in the connection between nature and health. As such there is opportunity for walk and talk sessions outdoors on the Bayfront trail. This creates a very unique therapy experience with insight, perspective, and outcome that can be quite different from the traditional office setting.
Walter R. Stevenson

November 27, 1941 - September 7, 2021

Passed away tragically and suddenly on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the age of 79.

The most loving father, he will be forever and deeply missed by Catherine (Steve), Kimberly (Jeff) and Matthew. Much loved grandfather of Chris, Cole, Stella, Nikki, and Madison. Survived by the mother of his children, Margaret. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Wally was the best big brother to his surviving sibling, “Bullit” Bob. After a distinguished career in Law as Senior Partner at McLean & Kerr, Wally is greatly missed by his many respected colleagues and dear friends.

Wally was loved by all who knew him. Born in St. Catharines and raised in Port Dalhousie, he maintained a lifelong love of the water and often took his kids back to see his childhood home and his humble beginnings. He loved the Henley Regatta, and served as Co-Commodore of the Mississauga Canoe Club in the 1990s. Wally loved his backyard swimming pools, relaxing poolside at his condo in Fort Myers, family RV trips to Myrtle Beach and then visiting Goderich at his trailer on Lake Huron in his final years.

A gentle, kind and loving man, Wally instilled strong values in his children. A proud grandfather, Wally adored spending time with his grandchildren and “watching them unfold like blossoms”.

Each of his children was immensely proud of their Dad and his career. A memorable highlight was the endowment of the Walter R. Stevenson student bursary at U of T Law School by businessman and philanthropist Gallant Ho. The award is granted to a law student demonstrating significant “perseverance and determination”, qualities which Wally personified throughout his life.

He had a strength of character and tenacity of will true to his Scottish roots. Like the solitary bagpiper, he managed his pain with quiet strength and grace until it became too much to bear.

Joseph Ambrose
Joe was first and foremost a father, to a very beautiful little boy; Mason. Joe spent most of his time trying to make a better life for himself and his son. He was so kind, compassionate and could often be found spending time with animals more than people…he cared for others because he gave freely what he also needed…love. Joe left us in March of 2022, after experiencing homelessness and not being able to get the proper mental health help he needed. He is gone, but never will he be forgotten.
